So why geostrategy.org?

Short answer: Why not?
Long answer:
Because I'm interested in the discipline of geostrategy, and have been, ever since before the opportunity to get this domain arose. At the time, I made a contract with some hoster allowing me to rent two domains. One of them was guardclan.com, the other geostrategy.org.
I am aware that Google indicates there was a different site on that domain before, but the hints for that are so few that they might as well be mistakes (f.i. someone types geostrategy.org instead of geostrategy.net). However, if someone proves to me he should own the domain rather than me (f.i. he holds trademarks or whatever related to geostrategy), I have few objections to giving it up.
Err anyway, so what is geostrategy? It's a discipline that teaches to look way ahead when planing the political and strategic steps of a nation or organisation. A must have for any future world dictator. :P I am often bored by local, national and even normal international politics, unless they follow a cunning plan to [achieve world domination|bring about world peace|something like that]. I am amazed by speculations about the political landscape on this planet in...say...15 years. Where are the USA heading? Will Europe become one? Can China be harnessed by Democracy? What about Russia? Oceania? The Middle East? And never forget Africa, the "lost continent"!
Geostrategy also advises you take appropriate steps to utilise these predictions for the good of your nation or organisation, possibly integrating the influence this will have on others into your predictions and restarting the loop.
Zbigniew Brzezinski's great book "The grand chessboard" will provide for a nice, although slightly outdated, introduction. There's also lots of essays on geostrategic topics on the internet. Enjoy. :) ^ TOP
